Adult Futsal League

Summer 2024

Where Houstonians play futsal & support their neighborhoods.

The Houston Town Futsal League (HTFL) is a 5v5 indoor soccer league played in a gymnasium on a hardwood surface. Teams are made up of adults (18+) that play under a team name of the local Houston neighborhood (town) they wish to represent and serve.

HTFL Overview

FIFA wouldn’t approve of the way we play but hey, this is our way of running an organized indoor soccer league for adults that delivers the most fun while giving back and highlighting the various towns of Houston. It’s competitive, but we enjoy the socializing and post-game drinks just as much.

Location: The Heights

Houston Town Futsal League matches take place in the Garden Oaks / Oak Forest (GOOF) area of The Heights at the gym inside Lutheran North Academy.

Fast Paced Games

Each week of the regular season, 4 teams will come together in a one-hour time slot and play each other twice for a total of 6 games. So, if your team win all 6 of its games in match week 1 for example, then that’s the max of 18 points.

Community Points

Community service projects are counted toward points in the HTFL league table and used as the primary tie-breaker when seeding for the playoffs.

We welcome players of all skill levels, but please keep in mind that most players have multiple years of previous soccer playing experience. This is currently the only division offered.

Players 18 and older of any gender can join HTFL but this is not specifically a coed league.

We plan is for an 8-team league to start with a 7 week regular season. The top 4 teams make the playoffss and then a final championship match.

Games will be on TBD nights starting this Summer. Please be sure to read the full league rules here.

Each match week of the regular season, there are two, one-hour time slots. You’ll play at one of the following times each week

However, teams can choose any Greater Houston neighborhood/town of their choice when registering a team. Use this link from the City of Houston website to help with your selection.

A team registration comes with 12 roster spots. A player can only be on one team’s roster in a given season.

These fees help us cover referees, equipment, and facility costs in order to make HTFL possible so we appreciate your understanding.

All players must pay a $5 R.E.F. fee each match week (excluding playoffs) in the form of cash or through a payment app such as Venmo or Zelle when checking into the facility before walking into the gym. Once payment is confirmed, a Houston Town staff member will place a wristband on your wrist which will need to be worn throughout the night.

Unfortunately, Houston Town does not currently offer youth futsal programs.
