Forget the walls and turf. At Houston Town, our preferred version of indoor soccer is futsal. Our indoor pickup games in The Heights are played on a hardwood court, five players per side, and a weighted futsal ball used for control and precision.

Heights Location

We host indoor pickup games in the Garden Oaks / Oak Forest (GOOF) area of The Heights at the gym inside Lutheran North Academy Community Center on Tuesday nights.

Truly great spot for adult futsal in Houston. Played several times here—games are competitive yet chill, environment is positive and inclusive, and the setup (indoor court, good refs/organizers) makes it enjoyable every time. Shoutout to the block and community feel. Only minor thing is spots fill up quick, so book early! Definitely my favorite place to play in the area.

I’ve been playing here for over 4 years now and it’s truly a great community. Always competitive and good spirits. David and his team do a great job of keeping up with the block and constantly adding value. Never change!! This is my go to sunday routine. Tuesdays are great as well for a real indoor futsal feel and king of the court style of play always brings out the best in everyone.

The best place to play (real) Futsal in Houston! David was a great host and organizer, making sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone had a good time.

One thing that really stood out to me was the diversity of the people who showed up to play. There were players of all ages, genders, and skill levels, which made for a really inclusive and fun atmosphere. It's great to see a futsal community that welcomes everyone and celebrates the beautiful game in all its forms.

Overall, I highly recommend David's place for anyone who loves futsal or wants to try it out. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place, people is so friendly and the level is competitive. Also anyone is welcome to come regarding of your color, race or preferences. It is a very inclusive place.
David is a great host and he is always trying to improve the experience. For example he introduced rewards for the number of games that you’ve been playing. At least for me that wasn’t necessary since I love playing soccer however I can see that could help to get more people and also somehow makes me feel appreciated.
So I encourage anyone that wants to play Futsal to come and join the family.

The best pickup for Futsal at Houston. Games are on the competitive side but everyone still ends up having fun. A very diverse group of people show up here, and it is great to meet and play with so many different people who come from different parts of the country or World ! I myself moved to Houston a few years ago and started playing with this group and most of the guys who i met here are my good friends now!

Whether you had a bad game or a good game, everyone is welcomed to grab a beer at the nearest bar after the game and hangout !!!

Thank you David for organizing one of the most interesting indoor futsal in Houston. The new facility is pretty nice and qualified. I really like the new atmosphere and how the competitive it is. Make sure that you sign up before going to the game because the spots are filled up quickly.

I always have a great time at Houston Town Futsal! The play is consistently competitive yet the vibe is friendly and easy-going. One of my favorite things is going out and socializing afterwards to learn more about the different cultures and backgrounds of each of the players.

Having moved to Houston recently and tried a lot of pickup places, I can say that this is definitely one of the best I’ve been to. Probably in my top 1.

The games are fun and competitive, the people are cool, and David’s an awesome host. All you need from a pickup game.

This place embodies the culture, the art and the love for the game, period! You can definitely see the passion and effort the organizer has put to bring this place alive for the community!

The people that participate in the pickup are approachable and friendly. The pickup games definitely make you sweat it out while also being fun. Bonus, soak up some sun and share a beer post-game with a nice view of downtown.

Love Houston Town Futsal's new indoor soccer location in Clear Lake. It's at the Gilruth Center which is literally on NASA's campus! Fun 5v5 pickup games with good competition.

This is their new futsal court location in the Heights. Great place for men and women of all skill levels to play indoor soccer. Only organized pickup games right now with 5v5 futsal league later in 2021

FAQs

How do I sign up to play?

Please go to our Houston Town Futsal Club page on Meetup here to RSVP.

Does it Cost $ to Play?

Yes. Indoor futsal pickup at Lutheran North Community Center cost $15 to play for two hours.

Can Anyone Play?

All adult coeds 18+ are welcome to play. However, please keep in mind that most players do have previous soccer playing experience.

How are the Teams Formed?

Teams are randomly selected after you check in. Some people will come with one or two friends and request to play on the same team which is totally fine.

We provide soccer bibs so it’s easy to tell who is on which team.

Do I Need to Wear Shin Guards?

If you practice safe soccer, great, but you don’t have to wear them.

Is There Futsal for Kids?

Unfortunately, Houston Town does not currently offer youth futsal programs.

In the meantime, we can put you in touch with a local organization that is doing great things on the youth futsal front if you are having trouble finding one.
