The Houston Symbols

Spaceman: The Houston Town spaceman figure is a nod to Houston’s importance in space exploration, but more importantly it is a symbol representing Houston’s diversity. Being one of the most diverse cities in the United States, Houstonians come from galaxies far, far away.

Oil Derick: Home to 4,600 energy-related firms, Houston is known as the “Energy Capital of the World” with the oil derrick famously symbolizing this industry and the Houstonians working within it.

Soccer Ball: No sport brings people of all different backgrounds together like soccer. The soccer ball is a symbol of our mission to use the power of sport as a force for good on every block.

Astrodome: Opening it’s doors in 1965, it was known as the “8th Wonder of the World” since it was the world’s first indoor, air conditioned domed stadium. It was also home to Houston’s first professional soccer team, the Houston Stars. Many Houstonians still consider the Astrodome as Houston’s most renowned landmark.

Yes, we’re Houston nerds but email us to share if we got it wrong with the Houston symbols.

Printed on Bella + Canvas 3001 cotton shirts and available in black and in white.
